Guin (FR): Artisanal ice cream salon offers handmade ice cream for dogs
According to 24heures and Tribune de Genève, the artisanal ice cream salon Maxsimo in Guin (canton of Fribourg) offers ice cream specially designed for dogs. The managers, Massimiliano Lanzafame and Simona Zito, have developed recipes without lactose or refined sugar. Carrot-apple, banana, and coconut flavors are particularly appreciated by dog owners. Veterinarian Isabelle Gauderon, however, urges caution: the very low temperature of ice cream can cause gastritis, an inflammatory disease of the stomach lining, in dogs.
